I am thinking about using the AD9364 for GNSS receiver (GPS; Galileo ; COMPASS, etc…). Obviously in my final design I will use a high gain low noise Figure LNA, between the active antenna and the AD9364 RF input in order to increase gain, and reduce the overall Noise Figure.
As a starting point I am thinking about purchasing the AD-FMCOMMS4-EBZ Hardware to perform some tests to receive some GNSS signals. I will connect this board directly to the active GNSS antenna, the overall gain will smaller, and the noise figure a bit higher, but it should be ok to track GNSS signals in a clear sky.
I need to be able to store the I/Q data samples received by AD9364 in a file. These I/Q data captures have to be at least 2 minutes long, at high sampling rates 50MHz. So the data has to be sent in real time from the ZedBoard to a Solid State Disk (thought Ethernet or USB 3.0). Does your VHDL code example for ZedBoard (or any other Xilinx Eval-Board) have this functionality?
