We are testing for first time an HMC ALH444 MMIC amplifier , we apply VG1=-0.7 V VD= +5V, VG2 = +1.5 V we measure ID=55 mA , But if we put the data sheet values  VG1=-0.5 V VG2= +1.5 V VD =5V ID go to ~70mA It that normal? The absolute maximum rating value for the ID current is not given on the data Seet. What is the maximum ID current value possible without MMIC failure?

We have used an Agilent E5263 A plused power suply with 70 mA  ID limitation and we have respected the procedure indicated in the Hittite aplication note for cascode amplifiers bias supply.
