Is the ADV7626 the best choice to add analog audio into an HDMI signal?
We have several devices that will allow you to receive an DVI/HDMI signal, insert digital audio, and transmit HDMI. ADV7623, ADV7625, ADV7626, ADV7627.
If you have analog audio, you would need to convert it to digital format first.
Do you have a low cost single chip solution to inserting analog audio into an HDMI signal?
Or even a solution to convert analog audio into a compatible HDMI digital signal?
The ADV7850 might possibly meet the functionality in terms of the single chip requirement . It is a complete AV front-end which includes HDMI receive, audio codec, analog video front end and tmds out.
However, the ADV7850 may be excessive for your design. If so, a separate audio A-D with the devices Matt mentioned above may better meet your requirements. The audio team may have a suitable recommendation.
