Okay, if you can program the M25P80 on some other platform, then you can download the loader file for u-boot for BF524 in binary format from the following thread:
BTW: We recommend customers of EVAL-ADV7625-SMZ have one of our low-cost debuggers on hand in case they accidentally delete u-boot and need to restore it.
Evaluation boards are being shipped with the U-Boot boot loader firmware. If you see the following output after resetting the board or applying power, your evaluation board has U-Boot:
U-Boot 2010.06 (ADI-2010R1-RC2) (Jan 12 2011 - 15:53:34)
CPU: ADSP bf524-0.2 (Detected Rev: 0.2) (spi flash boot)
Board: ADI Advantiv™ Video Evaluation Board
Clock: VCO: 300 MHz, Core: 300 MHz, System: 100 MHz
RAM: 8 MiB
SF: Detected M25P80 with page size 256, total 1 MiB
KGDB: [on serial] ready
Hit any key to stop autoboot:
If your evaluation board has U-Boot, you can use the steps to upgrade the application firmware
Are you using any different serial flash other than one used in ADV7625 Evaluation board? how it is different?
Once again, U13 is because the new unwritten M25P80, U-Boot can not have to work well.
What data should I write unwrittened M25P80 that is all 0xFF?
Do you have a JTAG debugger and a licensed copy of VDSP or CCES?
I have a JTAG debugger, but I don't have neither.
But I can write any data to M25P80 by another environment.
What shall I write?
I sent an email to your registered email address. Please look for it.
Thanks for responding to my private email.
In order to program the M25P80 (U13) using the BF524, you will need a JTAG debugger like ICE-1000 or ICE-2000 and a copy of VisualDSP or CrossCore Embedded Studio. We offer an evaluation license which will provide full functionality for a short period of time.
Alternatively, you could program the M25P80 using a dedicated programmer like Data I/O. But you would need to have a socket for M25P80 and a programming algorithm for M25P80. Do you have something like this?
>Do you have something like this?
Yes I have.
Please send me the data to successfully boot BF524.
Thanks for your support, U-boot has been successfully started and the update to X2.4REL has also been completed.Thank you again.
Glad to hear you were able to get your board working again!
