I have a question ADM3054.
I see that VDD2SENSE to detect loss of power on VDD2.
What is a used for VDD2SENSE pin ?
If VDD2SENSE is not used is it no problem?
The VDD2SENSE pin is a digital output. The pin's output will go high when the VDD2 voltage is too low to support operation on the bus side. The ADM3054 does not force the use of the VDD2SENSE pin. It can be left floating if unused.
The VDD2SENSE pin is useful though. It will give immediate feedback that the isolated transceiver is not properly powered. Its a way to distinguish an idle CAN bus from an unpowered transceiver without the CAN controller attempting to transmit and generating bit errors.
Thank you for your answer.
If I want to get ISO11898 that VDD2SENSE is must be used?
Or, I get ISO11898 when VDD2SENSE is not used?
The VDD2SENSE is an extra feature. Its neither required nor forbidden by 11898. You can make use of VDD2SENSE or leave it floating. Its fine either way.
Thank you for your answer .
