I am using Fmcomms 5 pleases help me to use IIO oscilloscope to run BIST mode and how to cross check it's output.please share step by step process.
In loopback mode the RF section is bypassed. Main OSC plot window doesn't know anything about loopback.
It'll still center the spectrum around the RX LO frequency.
Whether your in loopback mode or not can be easily seen in the FFT plot spectrum.
The process is pretty simple.
Start OSC, go to the advanced TAB and under BIST you can find the loopback options.
For FMCOMMS5 whatever you do on this plugin will automatically apply to both devices.
You can also enable loopback via the debugfs for the AD9361-phy devices.
i am follow above link but i am not getting tx frequency in IIo Window(i am setting different frequency on Tx and Rx) i am only getting Rx frequency. If i am not getting both frequency on iio i can't compare.
steps i am following :-
1 Run IIO default configuration.
2 Change TX lo Freqn1400.00 MHz(FMComms5 tab)
3 BIST(TAB) stetting
Bist Tone:- Injection Point TX
Bist PRBS:- Disable
Loopback :-Digital Tx-> Digital RX
level :- 0dB
frequency :- Fsamp/32
4 AD IIO oscilloscope capture window select voltage 0 and voltage 1,in oscilloscope i am receiving 2400 Mhz in window(Which belongs to RX frequncy).
Please Help to run BIST mode.
Like I said using the BIST from the plugin will always apply to both devices.
If you enable BIST TX->RX, the entire RF section is bypassed.
So you will see on all channels your TX data.
For calibration purposes we use the near end loopback control in the HDL core.
See here: https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/iio-oscilloscope/blob/master/plugins/fmcomms2_adv.c#L607
By writing these registers you can have a per channel selective loopback.
I done same as you told but i am not getting TX Frequency(1400MHz) on ADI IIO oscilloscope,i am only getting Rx 2400 MHz which i set on Rx by selecting voltage 1,voltage0 .
IIO oscilloscopes show TX frequency ?
where is TX data Port on board or IIO oscilloscope GUI?
Sorry - I don't understand. Can you clarify?
I willing to see TX frequency on IIo GUI.but i am only able to see Rx frequency on GUI.please share how i will see TX frequency on IIO GUI.
Once you enable the loopback - Why do you think, that you only see RX?
because i set two different frequency at tx and rx ,GUI showing rx frequency.
Branched into new discussion since the question was unrelated to the old discussion.
