I have a KC705 Kintex-7 Board. I'm going to put Microblaze on the FPGA but I'm wondering which Linux OS would be best to compile for it. The AD9371 is on it's way so I don't have the SD card. Is there a special ADI Linux OS flavor I should use?
The AD9371 Evaluation board comes with an SD card containing windows based TES GUI for evaluation purpose. API code and windows SD card image is available in below link.
If you need to run on Linux with IIO oscilloscope , you need to create a new SD card as mentioned in below link.
These two platforms are different and will not run with single SD card.
One SD card just has a UBoot image on it and nothing else. The other SD card had a bunch of ZYNC OS's I didn't see anything on either SD Card that would run on windows...
Hello, Thanks for getting back to me on this. I'm a little confused. Can drive the AD9371 from my PC? I thought I needed an FPGA kit: Prerequisites for AD9371 based boards [Analog Devices Wiki] I have a KC705. How do I interface with the AD9371 using the KC705? My thought was to load a Microblaze processor onto it then run Linux on the processor to interface with the AD9371. Then i'd use the IIO Scope to drive the AD9371 but it looks like I can also use my PC but how do I talk to the AD9371 from my PC with the KC705 card in software? How do I interface with this board from my PC (What is the physical block diagram of the setup?).
Still you require a FPGA kit to interface AD9371 but it can be controlled through PC using windows based GUI(TES).
For details on windows GUI refer UG-992 page 267.
Where can I find UG-992?
Evaluation board works with Xilinx Zynq ZC706 FPGA board for Windows based TES Software.
Download the design file package for AD9371 from below link, it has all the user guide, schematics

"On the website it says the eval. board will also work with the KC705. Is this not true?"
Do you mean below description?
If yes it is just the list but if you see the supported boards are marked and other is WIP(work in progress)
