I am looking for a 16bit DAC converter for a research experiment that has very good noise characteristics and supports rates of at least 5MSPS. This DAC will be used to generate an output control signal in a feedback loop, controlled by an FPGA with a Xilinx Artix-7 unit.
I was suggested to use the AD9783 for this purpose.
We are considering purchasing the evaluation board AD9783-DPG2-EBZ to try the DAC out. However, with all the extra components present on the board, we are having trouble determining from the datasheets the type of interfaces that are available for the user for a direct connection of the FPGA with the IC.
Would anyone be able to advise whether this board provides direct access to the LVDS pins of the AD9783 IC, including access to the Clock pins of the microchip, allowing us to control the DAC directly with the FPGA as a standalone system? Or is the evaluation board only meant to be used with the DPG2 adapter?
