Hi I ask some suggestions for the components to realize a DDC (digital down conversion) fpr a signal at 217 MHz to an intermediate frequency of about 3 MHz
I am not clear on what exactly you are looking for. However, you can checkout the VirtualEval tool to setup a DDC. The setup depends on the bandwidth around the 217MHz band you are interested in extracting. Assume the follwing
Fclock = 1GSPS
IF = 217MHz
Bandwidth = 50MHz
NCO frequency = 214MHz
You can use the AD9680 with Decimate by 16. See below for AD9680 in full bandwidth mode:

Thanks UmeshJ. I have to convert a 217.7 MHz signal in a 3 MHz signal. If I have well undesrtood your answer I can buy a AD9680 and program it to make this conversion?
I am still not that clear about your requirements, but if the VirtualEval links i showed above are similar to what you are looking for, then yes the AD9680 would be a good fit for your program.

I have to acquire a 217 MHz signal so I want to make a digital down conversion of the signal obtaining a 3 MHz signal: the 217 MHz signal is mixed with a 220 MHz signal and Low pass filter gives me the 3 MHz signal....
The NCO tuning word will act as your "LO". In the example below you can see that I have a 217MHz input with a 220MHz NCO tuning word.
In this case, the fundamental is showing up at -3MHz. You are more than welcome to play with this and come to your own conclusions.
Thanks a lot. For the same project I also need a I/Q modulator. Do you have any suggestion for a component working as I/Q modulator? The frequency is always 217 Mhz.
