The datasheet says that the board is for E series lvdt, but I want to test my MHR-250 with a 2.5 Khz input, this frequency is in range for E series, so I would like to know, if I buy this board, will it work with the lvdt MHR-serie?
Hello. The board would certainly support the LVDT you have chosen with a 4.8KHz excitation signal. It should do this without any hardware or software changes.
If you want to change the excitation signal frequency to 2.5Khz, that would require some work. You would need to write to the AD7192 and set the MR12 bit in the Mode register to divide the AD7192 clock by 2. This would frequency scale the operation of the entire circuit and would reduce the excitation signal to 2.4Khz.
Another option would be to divide the output clock (MCLK2) of the AD7192 by 2 with an external flip-flop and use that signal to drive the CLKIN input of the ADA2200.
When running the ADA2200 at 2.5Khz, you could optimize the noise performance by increasing the input capacitor (C24 and C25) to 6800pF, or thereabouts.
