Sysfs entry to actually turn on AD9371

I loaded a profile, set the hardware gains, the LO frequencies, etc. on the AD9371 via the sysfs drivers. Then I set the "buffer" enable in iio:device6 to '1', turning it on. I also set the ensm mode to 'radio_on'.

I have mmaped the area of /dev/mem where the RX ring buffer should be be while using the AD9371.  Presumably, what ought to be happening now is that the radio is receiving, and samples are being written to the ring buffer.

However, when I try consecutively reading from the mmaped buffer, I get the same set of 0's each time. There is no change.

Is there a specific sysfs entry which actually signals the AD9371 to start recording? Or if not, how can I confirm that the receiver is active?
