ADIsimPLL will not simulate this type of reference.
It might make more sense to apply the chirp directly via the PLL fractional modulator instead of through the reference. The ADF4159 (13 GHz) or HMC703 (8 GHz) PLL's can apply a variety of sweep signals to modulate the VCO output.
We also have a complete 24G FMCW radar solution with the ADF4159 PLL, ADF5901 VCO and ADF5904 receiver downconverter ( EV-RADAR-MMIC2 evaluation board).
You can create a custom reference in ADIsimPLL. Enter the reference editor from the libraries-->"reference library editor" dropdown. Open one of the existing libraries (for example user.lib) and click "new" to create a new reference:
Select the "phase noise" entry mode to "table". Now enter the phase noise profile as specified in the DDS datasheet for your desired reference. Save the library and exit ADIsimPLL. Restart the program -- now the new reference should be available from the "PLL Reference Selection" dialog after clicking "from library".
thank you for your replyI want to generate a chirp signal by the DDS then via a PLL I get at its output a chirp signal in the C band (FMCW radar) then for each frequency of sweep I do that !!
