Nerve measurement with the AD8233

Hi,
I am in my Ph.D in the process of developing an implant for use in measurements of nerve activity.  The nerve signal is slightly different from an ECG in that regard that it has lower amplitude (1-20 micro volt).  The shape of the signal is similar in appearance but happens a bit faster (0.4 ms for action potential and 0.5-0.6 ms for ECG).

My question is whether it is possible to use the AD8233 for recording of action potentials?

Can i use it "straight out of the box" or will I be required to use an instrumentation amplifier on one or both of the inputs?

Because the small amount of the ECG signal that will appear is now interferences, how would you recommend setting the highpass and lowpass filter?

Or is it better to just put a filter in front?

With best regards
Martin
