We are currently looking into using the FIFO functionality on the AD9910 evaluation board. Conventiently there seems to be a space for a FIFO buffer wired into the parallel input ports. It is however not populated. A quick check with the source code of the evaluation board software shows that there is routine that checks for the FIFO functionality.
My question is therefore: Can we solder the missing IDT72V285 FIFO chip onto the board and use it via the evaluation software to program the parallel input of the AD9910? This would save us the trouble of building our own hard- and software.
