ADM6318 watchdog timer when WDI floating

Hi All,

My customer has a question on watchdog timer operation of ADM6318 supervisor IC.

WDI terminal explanation in Page 6 Table 4 of Data Sheet says that the timer is cleared if a logic transition occurs on this pin or if a reset is generated. Leave this pin floating to disable the watchdog timer.

In case of customers circuit, WDI terminal become floating temporarily while timer counting.

His question is that the timer counter is reset at beginning of floating and start again (from zero) at end of floating? Or, it isn’t be reset and just temporarily stops the counting operation and restarts counting (from the counting value at temporarily stopped) when WDI become logic low again?

Thank you for your help.

Ricky
