The AD-FMComms2 (AD9361) assumes a VDD_INTERFACE voltage between 1.71V and 2.625V (1.8 to 2.5 +/- 5%), so on your FPGA carrier board, you should ensure that VADJ is between these levels. Setting things to 3.3V will damage the part.
The way I interpret this statement is that the AD-FMComms2 (AD9361) is supplied off of the FMC HCP connector.
Having said that, the following findings seem to be in contradiction to the conclusion above:
1. Schematics Rev E., page 4 shows a local 1.8V supply connected to the FMC ADJ pins (H40, G39).
2. Schematics Rev E., page 4 shows the following note: VADJ (0-3.3V) 2A
3. ZC706 carrier card, page 53, shows a local 2.5V supply connected to the FMC ADJ pins (H40, G39).
May I ask you to clarify whether AD-FMComms2 (AD9361) card requires an external voltage on FMC ADJ pins (H40, G39)?
