We bought two USB devices from Analog: ADF4351 and AD9508, but the computer can only recognize one device at a time. We need to use these two devices simultaneously. Is there a simple solution for this?
We're aware of this issue, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there isn't an easy solution.
We have a long term solution. Within our group, the evaluation software for new devices is being developed as a plug-in for ADI's unified ACE evaluation software environment. However, we'd need to retroactively go back and rewrite all of the software for existing products and we don't have the resources to do that.
I recommend programming one of the devices first, unplugging it, and then programming the second, or as my colleague suggested, use two computers.
Can you use two different computers? Or connect one board, program it, then leave it powered up, disconnect it, and move to the other board?
Thanks, rbrennan. We have only one computer available. The second way should work, but as we need to tune the parameters quite often, it is better to have the both advices active all the time.
