For one of our applications we need to compute the cross correlation coefficient vector for a signal with N 16-bit real valued samples and a match template with M-coefficients (16 bit real). Earlier we have been computing this through a simple multiplication accumulation loop (even in TS101). Presently, going through the text of TS201, I found an instruction XCORRS in the instruction set.
I just want to know if this instruction can be of help in the current context. If yes, it would be very kind of you to suggest the methodology that needs to be followed to pass the input vector and the format in which I can expect the output coefficients. I could not clearly make out the usage from your Programmers Reference
