How do data ready and overrun work on the ADXL345 and ADXL346 during sleep and auto-sleep

ADXL346 has two methods to set into Sleep mode.

Method 1) is to set Sleep bit (D2) of POWER_CTL.

Method 2) is to set AUTO_SLEEP bit(D4) of POWER_CTL. Basically, this method has to set Activity/Inactivity and Link bit.

That is, the device automatically switches to sleep mode if the inactivity function is enabled and inactivity is detected.

I checked whether to be set DATA_READY bit under Sleep mode.

As described “Sleep bit” in Datasheet, Method 1) suppressed DATA_READY. And the output data registers were still updated at the sampling rate set by the wakeup bits.

But Method 2) is seeing DATA_READY and Overrun bits were set when I confirmed by reading INT_SOURCE.

The output data registers were still updated at the sampling rate set by the wakeup bits.

Do I understand this correctly?
