I would like to know if there is a version of the adv7511 DRM driver that supports the vsync page-flip.
if not can someone give me some advices or ressources to try to implement this functionality
thanks in advance
No, that core does not support VSYNC page flip. To enable that you'd have to replace the video DMA with a core that can generate page flips.
The ADV7511 is just a encoder front-end. The VSYNC page-file management is handled by the IP core that does the buffer scanout and is completely independent of the ADV7511.
So the answer depends on your exact setup, which image processing core is the ADV7511 connected to on the host side?
I use the reference design from AD on a Zedboard described here. So the core is the AXI HDMI HDL one provided by AD. I would like to know if this core and the linux driver associated could manage VSYNQ page-flip.
My application use the libdrm library to output images on a screen without any X server or so one.
ok thank you for your answer
