I need to implement a 64-channel ASRC (actually, two of them, because my application is bi-directional). I was looking at using a total of eight ADAU1445 units glued together with some FPGA logic, but that approach needs a lot of board space.
Is it possible to have the entire functionality built into a single device (e.g. DSP?). I understand that there is also an ASRC library available for the Blackfin processors, but is it possible to scale the library that it can handle all channels?
(I know that similar FPGA implementations will grow too large even for big FPGAs).
