AD9957 produces a lot of heat.

Hi, everyone!

I'm working with AD9957. The quadrature modulation (QDUC) mode is selected. The problem is that, when working, the AD9957 chip produced a lot of heat, and the voltage chip (TPS70351) also produced searious heat. When I designed the PCB, I ignored the exposed pad of AD9957, and is this the reason why the chip produces lots of heat? The datasheet says that the EXPOSED PAD SHOULD BE SOLDERED TO GROUND, what if I left the exposed pad not connected?

Thanks very much!

Best wishes!
