I am looking to use the ADAU1701 in a portable application.
While there may be some lower-power solutions, they depend on your application. What kind of processing do you plan to do, and what I/O capabilities do you need?
If you aren't able to discuss that publicly, feel free to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
Consider using the 1761
Thanks Mike for the reply. Yes the 1761 looks more in the power requirements I was looking for.
I am investigating the concept of a portable hearing amplifier for someone with limited hearing loss.
Does SigmaStudio have filters for dynamic range compression?
I would be interested in linear compression of the full DR of the input to bands above 200Hz (for example)
This might be useful for someone that has ear loss below 200hz.
I am at early stages so not ready to write code or obtain HW yet.
SigmaStudio does have DRC available. If you wanted to create a multiband compressor, that is also possible through a combination of filters and DRC blocks.
Keep us posted on your progress!
Thanks for the feedback. I really like that 1761. Still investigating....
