Into ADM2582E datasheet there no information about consumption versus datarate. Consumption
is only given at 16Mbps.
but if I want to use the ADM2582E at 3Mbps, what is the consumption witout a load ?
The datasheet typical performance curves provide an indication of ADM2582E no load supply current at 16 Mbps as you mention (about 60 mA). The same datasheet also provides a plot at 500 kbps (ADM2587E, but ADM2582E will be similar at 500 kbps) - with no load condition, about 30 mA.
So at 3 Mbps, we can expect supply current between 30 mA and 60 mA. To narrow it down further, it's likely to be closer to the 500 kbps case - so we can perhaps expect 30-45 mA. 45 mA is probably the closer figure.
We have evaluation boards available, that allow easy examination of typical conditions on the bench, EVAL-ADM2582EEMIZ (2 layer board passing EN 55022 Class A radiated emissions limits) or EVAL-ADM2582EEBZ (6 layer board passing EN 55022 class B radiated emissions limits).
