Can a Synchronous FIFO (IDT72V245) be connected to the AD9269-20 or AD9266-20 ?
No, I have not personally tried the AD9269 or AD9266 with any FIFO or FPGA other than the HSC-ADC-EVALCZ which has the Xilinx Virtex4 FPGA.
There are a couple of reference designs for similar ADCs. These are not really examples of connecting to a FIFO, but they do demonstration ADC output interfaces to devices other than the standard EVALCZ.
Here is a Circuit-Note on a design that uses the AD9629, which is the 12-bit version of the AD9266.
Here is some information on an example that uses the AD9649, which is the 14-bit version of the AD9266.

I do not know about the IDT72V245, but I do not see why it could not be connected to AD9269 and AD9266. You will probably need to adjust the ADC output timing of DCO relative to data (Register 0x17), to meet the FIFO input timing requirements. Also, the ADC driver power supply (DRVDD) will need to match the input voltage levels requirement of the FIFO.
I have not tried the AD9269 and AD9266 with the IDT72V245, but it seems like it should work. You will need to go through the details to confirm it yourself.
