Since I plan on powering the VDD (digital power supply) to 1.8V, can I safely assume that the I2C will work at 1.8V?
I am checking with part specialist on this question.
See Gunther's reply in this thread :- Can the SDA and SCL pins on the AD9984A interface to 1.8V signalling?
Thanks. But, but that's just a workaround. I was hoping we can find an answer to my question.
AD9984A is a quite an old part and we have somewhat limited support resources for it.
Our evaluation board is designed for 3.3V I2C which I would recommend designing for. I don't believe we can guarantee how the I2C interface will work at 1.8V across all specifications. If you are limited to 1.8V, the workaround shared by Guenter may be worth trying.
