I'm using an AD9952,do I HAVE to use I/O UPDATE pin or can the part be configured to not need a pulse on I/O UPDATE? If it can be so configured, how do I do that and how should I tie I/O UPDATE?
I/O UPDATE is needed to latch the internal buffer to the I/O registers. It can be tied up to a GPIO of your microcontroller. Typically, you issue this as a pulse after a successful SPI transaction.
Louijie, I understand what I/O UPDATE is for, I am asking if there is an option to not use it and have the device just update as soon as the SPI transaction is complete. Are you saying that there is no such option?
I apologize but I checked the registers and there isn't an option for that kind of feature.
Thanks Louijie, I shall add the extra signal.
