I want to use a GPIO as my ground pin for turning on and off a few sensors. What is the maximum sinking current that the GPIO pins can take?
On ADuCRF101, the pads are designed to drive capacitive loads, and can only sink/source a small DC current. If too much current is sourced/sunk by a pad, the pad will be damaged.
As a rule, we allow 5mA per group of pads that share the same IOVDD/IOGND. 10 pads maximum usually share an IOVDD and IOGND therefore 0.5mA per pad is a good rule of thumb.
