In EVAL-ADV7842-7511, what is the circuit containing the following set of components used for:
JP1, JP2 & U5.

Yes, the on-board memory is sufficient for the EDID. We never use the external memory here. It was just added to the board to show how it's done. New boards don't even have any external EDID memory.

Do you have one of our evaluation boards for ADV7842-7511?
1) no jumpers installed -- DDC would use EDID memory in the ADV7842
2) Left jumpers installed -- DDC would use this external EDID memory instead of ADV7842
3) Right jumpers installed -- allowed the Blackfin access to the external memory to write new EDID blocks into it.
Normally we just use option #1
In the normal case is the internal ADV7842 memory enough to save the EDID data? Currently I'm not using any jumper on the Evaluation Board to perform the testing. So I wished to know if in the actual designed board I could continue using the same configuration.
Yes I have one of the boards and was wanting to know how the jumpers are to be used. GuenterL has answered that question for me.
