TS20x boot modes

Have read in Engineer to Engineer note EE-200 that these devices have a No Boot mode which is not recommended for production

and is meant as a system debug tool.

Is there a specific reason (other than the general comment about initialization details that must be taken care of) to support that recommendation?

Is there a document describing each of these initialization details?

The reason for these questions s that I have to suggest a boot mode for a PCB taht is already made. In this PCB the Flash is not connected directly to the DSP, it is conncted to an FPGA device which in turn is connected to the DSP.
