ADAU1372: What happens if we loose MCLKIN ?

Hello everyone,

I want to use the ADAU1372 Codec in an Audio over IP application, and the MCLK (which is supplied by an Audio over IP component) will be lost if we disconnect the device during its working, or if we've got a momentary lost of the connection.

So I am wondering what happens on all of the registers when we loose the MCLK: are they protected from writing until the PLL is locked again ? If yes, do they go back to their Reset state ?

Thank you,

Best Regards,

Florian
