What is a good modern day replacement for the uA709 operational amplifier?
The 709 was an uncompensated op amp. Now days, most all are compensated, so if you need
gbw of 1MHz, 10MHz, 100MHz, etc, you just buy one. Also depends on supply voltages available.
What about Vos?? What about IBias??
For a good, all around op amp, I would start with ADA4084-1. If it doesn't fit your needs,
come back and tell us more info about what you want to do.
I am looking at an old application note from TI which shows a voltmeter design using JFETs and has 10 Mohm input impedance. the design uses the uA709, probably as a buffer to drive the meter movement. I would not expect stellar performance is required. Ability to run off of +/- supplies would be nice.
