What is the state of the EXE and /EXE pins on the AD2S1210-EP when the /RESET pin is LOW? Is it safe to assume there is no excitation output or is there an excitation output at a default frequency?
The exc output will stop when RESET is low and the same thing happen if there is no CLKIN signal. The default excitation output is 10Khz provided it is powered up and it has CLKIN signal of 8.192Mhz.
The excitation frequency on power up is 10khz and please make sure that Vdd is within the specified operating range of 4.5 to 5.5V. The /RESET initializes and ensures the output position is at value 0x000.
I understand the requirements for power supply tolerance. If the supply voltage is in tolerance and the /RESET pin is stuck LOW does the excitation output still run? This seems contrary to the operation of the reset function on other ICs.
