Hi! i'm starting to use the ADSP-BF533 EZ-KIT LITE REV 2.2 + BLACKFIN AUDIO EZ-EXTENDER REV 1.2, i would like to know how i can program the audio stereo I/O , et how to fix the sample rate at 192 KHz,, thank you!!
The serial peripheral interface (SPI) of the ADSP-BF533 processor connects to the AD1836 audio codec and the expansion interface. The SPI connection to the AD1836 is used to access the control registers of the device and ADC Control Register 1 of the codec has to be configured to change the sample rate.
Please refer to the datasheet of the specific codec and program the codec for desired sample rate. You can check the existing configuration from the adi_ad1836.h driver available in the VDSP directory and modify it accordingly. Also, from the datasheet of AD1836 codec, I understand that it supports a maximum sample rate of 96KHz.
Thanks and Regards,
Hi, in fact, i want to have a sampling rate of 192 KHz, so my connexion will be with the expansion interface. In this case, i would like to know which codec it's going to generate the master clock (ADAV801 ?) and the registers of which component i have to change to fix the 192 KHz.
Attached is the code for audio test for the audio EZ-extender board interfaced to BF533 Ez-kit. The sample rate can be changed in the codec header file.
