Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the PLL frequency of audio codec chips like the ADAU1361 while the codec is running?

This functionality would be necessary for stuff like interfacing the audio codec with usb isochronous adaptive endpoints, where the audio device needs to change its sampling frequency on the fly to synchronize with the host.

On the datasheet of ADAU1361 under the "Clock generation and management" section it says to reconfigure the clock setting the PLL needs to be powered down, which makes me wonder if it is possible.

Obviously for this application (audio synchronization) the frequency changes would only need to be a few Hz, so surely locking wouldn't be much of a problem?

Any advice?

Thanks in advance
