Am using 4 AD9608 ADC's in our project. Clock for these ADC's are coming from another IC & though the clock frequency is same for all 4 ADC's, there is still a bit offset in clocks. So how can i use SYNC pin in AD9608 to solve this issue?
Thanks for using the AD9608. The SYNC pin is designed for use in the following situation:
When the clock divider is used, the applied clock frequency will be greater than the sample frequency. In this case it would not be known which edge of the higher frequency clock is the sampling edge because the clock divider can come up in one of several states. The SYNC pin resets the clock dividers on each part so they all are in the same state, and so the sampling edge of all the ADCs is on the same clock edge.
In your case, it sounds like the clocks on each of the AD9608 are not the same. Unfortunately the SYNC pin is not designed to resolve this situation.
Is there any way you can reduce the clock skew between parts?
