I previously used Ad9361 with VC707 using the linux software.I am now trying to interface it with Arria 10. Are any files available on the git hub which can help me with this interface ?
We don't have a project for AD9361 + Arria 10. However, we do have two other projects that can be helpful:
- ARRADIO (AD9361) + SoCkit (Cyclone 5 SOC) (ARRADIO [Analog Devices Wiki], Altera SOC Quick Start Guide [Analog Devices Wiki], hdl/projects/arradio at master · analogdevicesinc/hdl · GitHub);
- AD-FMCDAQ2-EBZ + Arria 10 GX FPGA Development Kit (Nios2 Linux on the Altera FPGA Development Boards [Analog Devices Wiki], hdl/projects/daq2/a10gx at master · analogdevicesinc/hdl · GitHub).From the software point of view, on both platforms we run Linux.
But If I try to use either of the Linux corner from the projects you mentioned for interfacing Arria10 + Ad9361 will that work ?
You should be fine by using the same A10 HDL base design and the same instructions for building the Nios2 Linux image.
I am trying to port AD9361 driver in Arria 10 SoC. I am using Quartus 17.0 with A10 device support installed. I took the cyclone 5 HDL reference implementation, facing the following issue.
Makefile:132: recipe for target 'arradio_c5soc.sof' failed
then i tried executing quartus_sh --64bit -t system_project.tcl, but its giving error mentioned below.
Is there any alternate approach to do the same.
For Altera, we support Arradio because the FMC interfaces present on Arria 10 SOC development board are not compatible with FMCOMMS2-3-4 FMC from the serdes topology point of view. We couldn't yet find an Altera board compatible with FMCOMMS2-3-4.
Thanks for the reply !
Is Arria 10 SOC development board compatible with FMCOMMS5-EBZ ?
No, Arria 10 SOC is not compatible with FMCOMMS5.
Is there any FMCOMMS compatible with Arria 10 SOC?
At this point, the only board we support for Altera with AD9361 is the arradio which is equivalent with the fmcomms boards.
