In my case I need larger positive output range than negative (+7 V vs -2 V). Is it possible to have unbalanced power supply rails (eg +9 V to -5 V) on 8422/8421?
Would it have any negative side effects?
Yes, you can use unbalanced supplies on both the AD8422/1. You will just need to make sure that your input voltage stays within the input common mode voltage range of the supply. We have an online tool which you can use to check whether your circuit specifications meet the input range of the amplifier. I have already put in some sample values for the case of the AD8422:
