Full description of the R_EXT pin   function,  the documentation indicate that this pin is used to set internal reference currents. Is this pin also used to reduce the drive strength of the TDMS lines?  .

Background:  The customer has an EMI issue on a board that will be re-spun to include suggestions in the wiki (HDMI Layout Guidelines), they need to rule out R_EXT as a possible assistive  pin.

From the data sheet, which is pretty much what is in the Hardware Reference:

R_EXT PIN This pin sets internal reference currents

Please confirm/deny that this pin has nothing to do with TDMS drive strength, and what the reference currents mentioned actually are used for.
