I use the ADAU 1772 in a non-portable circuitry that is supplied with regular +\- 12V supplies.
The ADAU1772 itself is supplied with 3.3V.
This means that the op-amp that precedes the ADAU1772 analog inputs can deliver much more voltage than the analog inputs can handle (Vcc+0.3 - GND-0.3 V).
Now my question is whether the inputs are protected by diodes such that I can prevent overload by a series resistor, like with many C-Mos devices. And if so, what current can these input protecting diodes handle?
