I am working on the single phase multi-function IC ADE7953. In the datasheet, it is recommended that the analog ground (AGND) and the digital ground (DGND) be connected at the base pad of the chip.
I have an isolated power supply giving 3.3V to the circuit. The digital ground (DGND) is obtained from this isolated power
supply. The AGND is obtained from the high voltage (230V) circuit. If I connect AGND and DGND together, I lose the
isolation. So, is it really necessary to connect AGND and DGND together?
