How does the dac_chanel (in AD9361 core) process data received from DMA? why does the data need to be processed before sent to AD9361 chip?
We are using a DDS core to generate the sine waves to be sent to the AD9361. Given that the DDS does not generate perfect sine waves, by having IQ correction, the overall quality of the transmitted signal increases.
The data does not need to be processed. We have part of the design some processing stages that are optional and they may perform IQ correction. The data sent through the DMA can be already preprocessed in software.
Thank you for your reply. Do you mean that the data received from DMA is sent to AD9361 chip directly after IQ correction? If yes, why does it need the IQ correction?
It's easier for the software to generate the data if there is IQ correction in the path.
Thank you for your prompt reply. Can you explain that why it's easier to generate data if there is IQ correction in the path? Or tell me where I can find the detail?
