I am working with the 16448 IMU with 3 options for the gyros dynamic range: +-1000 (default), +-500, +-250 dps. I am interacting with the IMU through the iSensor evaluation board.
I changed the dynamic range setting to +-500 dps by setting SENS_AVG = 0x202. I then tried to rotate the IMU by hand as fast as I could, expecting to see gyros saturate at +-500 dps. But I didn't see this; the gyros signals looked healthy up to +-1000 dps.
