There is missing ideality factor in the equation in page 18 of the datasheet RevB.
Could you tell me ideality factor of the internal thermal sensor?
I believe the equation is for external sensors and is not applicable to the internal sensor operation. As stated under the Internal Temperature Measurement section, "The thermal characteristics of the measurement sensor could change and therefore an offset is added to the measured value to enable the transfer function to match the thermal characteristics. This offset is added before the temperature data is stored. The offset value used is stored in the internal temperature offset register."
I assume this is in reference to the equation to measure the change in VBE Would you know the reason the customer is asking for this?
Strictly speaking, Delta VBE equation should have (non) ideality factor of diode
If (non) ideality factor of the internal sensor does not equal one, the measured temperature should be compensated.
The detail is described in section 2.3 of the NXP's document.

Sorry, I think my understanding is incorrect and you are right.
So, if the external temperature sensor has 1.008 as ideality factor (it is same as 2N3906), user should multiply 1.008 by the measured VBE (= ADC output), is it correct?
