I have one AD5930 and pic16f72. Actually pic16f72 is an 8 bit microcontroller . Can anyone know how to do serial communication with dds using an 8 bit microcontroller.
I want to generate 5 kHz burst frequency of 5 cycles at the output,
->What are all the registers i need to consider?
I need only one frequency as burst.
Iam using a 40 Mhz clock to the ad5930.
Iam conneting pic 16f72 to ad5930 to control it.The clock frequency given to pic is 4Mhz.
->How to calculate the start frequency of ad5930?
->Is the frequency given to pic(4Mhz) is sufficient for proper communication between pic and ad5930?

Can you please refer to AN-1044 to setup a sample frequency sweep. This will help setup your desired configuration.It might be worth setting this up initially.
Also the ADIsimDDS tool will help setup the start freq tuning word you need to write to the part.
The max clock speed on the SPI SCLK is 40MHz.
