Is there an API for the ICE-1000 emulator? I need to create a GUI for production programming which involves communicating with the ICE-1000 to program the FLASH memory through the processor.
Please refer CCES help: CrossCore® Embedded Studio 2.2.0 > Integrated Development Environment > Working with Bootable and Non-bootable Files > Device Programmer
this is the API description of the CLDP.
But for my understanding the question is, if there is any API to access the ICE-1000/2000 Emulator
I think there is no direct API to control the Emulator ?. An API to ICE would enable the control of emu without usage of the CCES ? and it would be helpful if someone want to realize an independent programmer.
But from my point of view ICE-1000/2000 programmers & connectors are not usable for mass production, because they don't survive very frequently plugins/Offs (>1000 times??)
It is true that an ICE 1000 is not going to survive many insertions.
We make a flash programmer for ADI SHARC & Blackfin. It supports many, but not all devices. It is not an emulator but designed specifically for programming. This includes an inexpensive ribbon cable because they do wear out.
It does not require CCES or CDSP. It uses a standalone Windows program.

Hi Al !
I know the programmer by danvillesignal .
is there any plan to support BF60x processors.
and what is your opinion concerning the post by cansal84 in CLDP requires a full CCES license?
....... in order to program production boards I purchased the stand-alone Danville programmer.
My problem is that the stand-alone Danville programmer doesn’t work very well, in fact it fails the programming phase. About 30% of my boards are not programmed correctly from Danville dspFlash programmer so I have to use the ICE 100 emulator to program my boards on machines with CCES environment installed.
This is unacceptable for us. How I can solve this issue?
