I have used AD595 for J and K thermocouple interfacing in many of my designs. It is an excellent chips and works fine.

However it is costly too.

recently I came across AD8495 .

I bit confused it looks pretty much the same except higher sensitivity.

However there is tremendous cost difference.AD8495 is almost 1/3rd of the price of AD595.

Is it a good idea to replace AD595 with AD8495 and get >= performance?

Why AD8495 is cheaper than AD595?mass production, technology change or lower specs?
