I am building an application to measure air temperatures between -100 deg C to 300 deg C.  I'm considering using the  5B47 Isolated, Linearized Thermocouple Input from AD.  The spec sheet for the 5B47 says that the highest accuracy for this temperature range is available from a type J thermocouple.  (+/- 0.5 deg C accuracy).  However, all the thermocouple manufacturers I have looked at say type J is not rated for temperatures below 0 deg C.  They all recommend type T thermocouples.  What am I missing?  Should I use type J or type T?
