I have bought ADuCRF101QSP1Z Evaluation modules. i would like to connect more than on End device (transmitters) in WSN. how should I go about it
I recommend you to first choose which WSN solution you want to start using on this specific "ADUCRF101QS1Z". As you can, this forum is meant for support on 2 WSN solutions - ADRadioNet, and AD6LoWPAN. You can go in to either of these and find lot of answers and FAQ's. You can download the respective packages from these pages, which will contain an all-in-one getting started guides and how to start using the WSN.
Few Q/A, FAQ's like the following are then useful.
FAQ: Expanding ADRadioNet beyond Evaluation Demo
FAQ: AD6LoWPAN 3-Node demonstration - procedure and required tools
I have WSN Bunch version kit, Can this be used for AD6LoWPAN also
Once you go through these evaluation you should be able to get an answer to your self.
I have 3 ADuCRF101QSP1Z (ADuCRF101 MKxA Rev E) Modules. I tried connecting them using ADRadioNet.
As a first step , i Opened ADWSN-UI-Tool .
clicked find device.
it displayed "searching" and not coming out of it. i have to use Task Manager to close this application . didn't find any devices. what could be the reason.
2. can i use AD6LOWPAN application for application having 3 ADuCRF101 boards. the all-in-one getting started guide says that the H/W requirements are BUNCH cards (2 No.s) and ADuCRF101 (1 no.).
and also All-in-one-Getting started guide also mentions the H/W requirement as PC with Windows 7 but Iam using Windows * . is it ok
Provide me the following information.
You are able to detect the device in the PC? Please check in the Device Manager and conform your device is detected and COM port is assigned to it. If your device is detecting drivers are installed properly.
How are you powering up the EVAL-ADuCRF101MK boards? I hope you are using USB-SWD/UART modules.
What is the version of the firmware you are using? I assume you have flashed the latest ADRadioNet Rev. 2.0.1 binaries on to the devices (provided your device got detected) before opening the ADWSN-UI-Tool and trying to detect? If not flashed, please flash the code with the latest ADRadioNet binaries (Rev. 2.0.1). The prebuilt binaries are provided in the following location in the installed directory for EVAL-ADuCRF101MK boards.
<Installed directory >\ADRadioNet01\PrebuiltBinaries\EVAL-RF101\using_CM3WSD
AD6LOWPAN cannot be used with 3 EVAL-ADuCRF101MK boards, the hardware requirement is 2 BUNCH WSN modules + 1 EVAL-ADuCRF101MK
