AD9388A input color space

Hi there,

I use the AD9388A with INP_COLOR_SPACE=111 (default, auto). When I've an incoming DVI signal or a full range HDMI RGB signal, then it is treated as an RGB limited range (16-235) signal. (In result of that the white colors above 235 seems to be same on the display).

If I change the INP_COLOR_SPACE to 001 (RGB full range) from 111, then the issue dissolves. INP_COLOR_SPACE=000 (limited RGB) gives same result as 111 (auto mode). Can anybody tell me why is DVI signal handled as limited RGB? Is there any other workaround than forget the automatic mode and write the actual colorspace explicitly into the INP_COLOR_SPACE register?

Thank you,

Dave
